This past Sunday we wrapped the last of 10 stories from the Bible we have been doing in our series called STORY.  In the story Jesus sits on the side of a hill to teach, and I commented that if sitting to tell stories is good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me, as I did most of the teaching in this series while seated. 

Today I was reading in Matthew 13 where Jesus actually sits in a boat and teaches, so that helps my point.  The thing is, it doesn't matter how we present the story.  The important thing is actually the story.

We spent ten weeks looking at different stories, and how God used unique individuals, some of them high quality wonderful people, and others ones with some questionable character flaws.  We saw how each story was unique and at the same time, how each story was intertwined.  There is this delicate interlacing of stories in God's plan, that ultimately binds us all together. 

We each have a story.  Our stories are individual and unique to us, and at the same time interconnected with everyone else.  Our stories have value in the eyes of the God we created us, and we are tied to the larger story, God's story.  God has an ongoing plan for humanity and he chose to involve us.  We saw this last Sunday that God doesn't need us to perform miracles, but he does WANT us to participate in the blessing and in sharing the blessing with others. 

​As we look at our life stories it is my prayer that we see the bigger story of God at work in each and every one of our lives and that we realie that we are loved by the creator of the universe and the master story teller.
