"Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy."
Jude 24

Have you fussed and fumed through life's challenges, wondering if the Sovereign Creator of the Universe was on vacation?  I have a message for you.  The God who hung the stars, and the God who poured the ocean, the God who raised the mountains, the God who knew you before you were knit together in your mother's womb, this sovereign God is your Savior.  He is your King, and He is in control.  When you are plucked from the depths of sin, you are placed in the very hand of God!  You can't climb up into the hand of God; you are placed into the hand of God.  Hallelujah!  Our efforts didn't get us there.  His grace placed us there.  And His love will keep us there - forever.

"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed, save me, and I shall be saved: for Thou art my praise."
Jeremiah 17:14

Have you ever thought about spiritual healing?  What is healing, you may ask?  Well, there are two kinds of wounds to the human, that effects ones spirit.  One is sorrow, the other is guilt.  Sorrow is a clean wound.  Somehow your heart will heal as the Holy Spirit applies His healing balm to your sorrowful spirit.  He will pour in "the oil of gladness."  Time and the grace of God will heal.  But guilt is dirty and if left alone will effect the entire body, and will never heal until it is confessed and cleansed by the antiseptic of Calvary.  The bible says to confess our sins and HE is faithful to forgive us.

A slave only fears his master's whip, but a son and daughter fears his father's displeasure.  Is there an unrest with your spirit today?  Maybe a sin that needs forgiveness applied to it.  Are you suffering under a load of guilt?  Allow the Holy Spirit to expose your sin.  Then confess it and experience the joy of forgiveness in Christ.

The sunrise never finds us where the sunset left us, a special lady said to me once.  When you have a bad day, it can seem like a never ending battle.  But, no matter how bad things seem, when we rise in the morning and look at a new sunrise, we often find a new approach to the problems.  Trying times are a part of life, why is that?  They bring us closer to our God.  He has the answers to your problems.

If Heaven is not at the core of our ministries, then not only do we have a limited view of the fullness of life and our redemptive experience, but we are unable to help those who are truly in need.  Don't let the gravity of this worlds problems pull you into a negative life style.  Some tole me "A heaven dimly lit results in a life poorly lived."

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
Jeremiah 29:11

God knows how HE feels about you.  What a wonderful verse.  Do you love Christ?  Do you long to please Him with all your heart?  Then remember this:  You may be going through a problem or trial right now, but God's delays are not God's denials.  Many a Christian feels he or she is out in the wilderness--that all God is doing is leading them in circles.  Maybe God is grooming you.  He is not ready to thrust you into heavy responsibilities as yet.  He has you in a holding pattern for His holy purpose.  Life is a journey that does not end.  God is preparing something wonderful for you.  He doesn't want you to settle for less than His optimum for your life and your work.  Be patient and wait on the Lord to do His work in and through you.

Friday.  Have you given thanks for another day God has given you?  He gave you life to enjoy your family, peace to be able to rest, work to be able to provide for your family, tears to show your emotions, a mind so you can relive memories, a heart so you can love.  Church - it's a good place to go especially in times like we live in.  Jeremiah 29:13  "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Pressure!  Pressures of life sometimes breaks us in half.  I remember a saying "Be like the willow tree - able to bend without breaking, under the weight of the storms we face in life".  Being flexible helps get us through the trying situations we find ourselves in.  It not only helps with the everyday obstacles, but also with long term pressure.  Ask God to give you the ability to bend with the times - HE will.

One day I was eating in a cafeteria when the door of the restaurant opened and a man ran in.  He rushed to a table that had been abandoned by patrons just shortly before.  He began to stuff his mouth with the leftovers when the management discovered him.  He rushed out like a squirrel scurrying to safety.  No pride.  He didn't care what people thought.  An man who was starving is dead serious about the matter of getting food.  He's focused.  He's only got one thing on his mind--where is his next meal?  He's not concerned about popularity, position or possessions.

What are you hungry for today?  Is Jesus enough to satisfy your appetite?

"Thou hast also given me the shield of Thy salvation:  and Thy right hand holdeth me up, and Thy gentleness hath made me great."
Psalm 18:35

Can a person donate to the poor and not have love?  Can a person work in a soup kitchen for the homeless and not have love?  Yes.  You say,  "A person wouldn't do that!"  Oh yes, they would...if they had a guilty conscience.  Sometimes it is neater to write a check or donate some used things than to give of our time.  Do you know what the world needs?  Not more money, though I'm sure they'd be glad to take it.  First Corinthians 13:3 says, "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing."  You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving of yourself to others.  Ask God to show you the ways you can show His genuine love to others.

What does it mean to have "The Lord's face shine upon you"?  Imagine yourself in a crowd of 20,000 people and all of a sudden you spot a face that you know.  What do you do?  You walk toward that face in the crowd of 20,000.  That's what it means to have "The Lords Face Shine On You".  He sees you wherever you are.  He knows you from all others.  Thank Him today for loving you.
