Chick Fil A and Holy Kisses... 2 Corinthians 13:12 Dr. David A Baillie

​Today I went into Chick Fil A for the first time in 2019.  Mainly I haven't gone this year because they no longer have the Cow Calendar and free stuff every month.  I live on the cheap side!  Even today I just went in to use up all the points off of my App and get free stuff.  Beyond that I haven't had any motivation to go to a place I used to visit 3 to 4 times a week the previous seven years.

When I walked in today I immediately saw four employees that I knew there, and they all welcomed me and told me that they missed seeing, and one even took about 10 minutes to catch up on me, my family, and my life. 

So, I've been thinking about it.  For people it really is easy to get out of the habit of doing something, or going somewhere.  In our culture today it is easy to get out of the habit of going to church and spending time with other believers.  Lives get busy, other things take the place, and people just move on. 

As we here at Open Door are looking to our future and inviting people to come join us I wonder what will happen when people walk in the door.  Will we look at them and wonder, "What are they doing here?" or will we welcome them, tell them we've missed them, and spend time with them.

​How would I react if I went to a church I had never been to before and someone came up and said, "We have really missed you and are so glad you are here"?
